Shelby Pomerenke is graduate of Morningside College

Shelby Pomerenke, daughter of Terry and Billie Pomerenke of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, was among the 255 students who received bachelor degrees from Morningside College during the college's 113th spring commencement exercises held Saturday, May 14, 2011.

Pomerenke received a bachelor of science in nursing degree with a major in nursing.

Morningside College enrolled 1,991 full-time and part-time students for the 2010-11 academic year and welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Morningside offers five bachelor's degrees, including bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of music education, and bachelor of nursing, and a master of arts in teaching career. The college was founded in 1894 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church today.
